Actually, prior writer, it can be very nice. I've dealt with many governmental officials, in Warren and elsewhere, and those in Warren are at the top of the list. The current tax collector, Heather Personnatti, is a delight to work with, as were her predecessors (most recently Marcia Schultz and before Marcia, another whose name I believe was Carolyn). Even when the problem is your fault (e.g., like losing your bill), the support has been cheerful and very accommodating. Warren's new (or at least new to me) internet access for checking your payment status is excellent. Of course paying taxes isn't anyone's idea of fun, but Warren's tax office is better than any other I've ever seen.
